The custom filter in the reservation list view helps you to filter and display only the data fields that are relevant to you. This is useful for managing and monitoring reservations efficiently, based on your specific needs, such as guest count, table assignments, or event details.
Why Is This Useful?
- Tailored view: Display only the data fields you need, such as date, status, guest number, tables, and more.
- Increased efficiency: Customize your view to suit your workflow, whether for the kitchen, front-of-house, or management team.
- Time-saving: Filtered data helps streamline operations, reducing the time spent looking for specific reservation details.
- PDF Export: Your custom view can be exported to PDF for easy sharing or reporting.
Steps to Set Up the Custom Filter:
- Go to the List view and click the settings icon located in the top right corner of the reservation list page (see image below).
- Select the data fields you want to display in your reservation list. You can choose from a variety of fields such as: date, status, number of guests, name, tables, event, dietary restrictions, notes, etc…
- Save the View, after selecting your desired fields, click on the Save settings button to store your custom view. Name your view (e.g., “Kitchen View”) for easier access later.
Best practice: To make your view even more organized, we recommend grouping your reservations by Hour. This helps streamline the data, especially when managing busy periods and shifts.
Example of Custom Filter View
The image below shows a custom filter view where the data is grouped by hours. Only relevant information, such as guest count, table number, and dietary restrictions, are visible.

Best practices:
Save multiple views: You can create different views for different teams. For instance, a “Kitchen View” might show only the guest count and dietary restrictions, while a “Front Desk View” could display guest names and tables.

Use for reporting: The ability to export custom views to PDF or EXCEL makes it easier to share information with managers or your team. Please refer to Viewing Reports for more information.
