Creating a Gift Voucher

Creating a gift voucher is simple and allows for customisation of value and validity.

Steps to Create a Gift Voucher

  1. Navigate to Gift Vouchers > Settings.
  2. Click on + Add a Gift Voucher.
  1. Fill in the required fields:
    • Name – the title of the voucher (e.g., “Dinner for Two”).
    • Description – a short explanation of what the voucher offers.
    • Display Date – when the voucher becomes available for purchase.
    • Expiry Date – how long the voucher remains valid (expressed in days).
    • Minimum and Maximum Amount – define value limits.
    • Amount Options – set fixed values (e.g., €50, €100).
  2. Add an image for the voucher.
  3. Save the settings, and the voucher will be ready for use.

Options of the Gift Voucher

Enabled

This option determines whether the gift voucher is active and available for purchase and use. If checked, customers can buy and redeem the voucher.

Service Gift Voucher (Invoice Required)

This option means that the gift voucher is intended for a specific service (e.g., dinner for two, wellness package) and requires an invoice to be issued. The alternative is a Value Gift Voucher, which functions like cash and is only redeemed once the service is provided.

Single Redemption (redeem full amount)

If this option is checked, the voucher can only be redeemed once for its full amount. Any unused balance cannot be reused. If unchecked, the voucher can be used partially until the full amount is spent.
